Of course, there are obvious dangers to doing this. For starters, applying for too much credit too quickly can have a negative impact on your credit score among other things. For example, if you plan on buying a home soon, you have a history of getting into credit card debt, or you’re not a very organized person, then this side hustle may not be for you. But definitely do your research before starting, because it can be a very lucrative side hustle if you’re responsible for it.
10. Bank Churning
A bonus side hustle that you can do alongside credit churning is bank churning, the idea of bank churning is exactly the same as credit card churning. With bank churning, you are opening bank accounts and earning sign-up bonuses which can be as much as $400 to $800 depending on the bank. And of course, this presents a huge opportunity for you.
Basically what you’ll do is you’ll go on to these websites, your Facebook marketplace, your Craigslist, and you’ll find free stuff that people are giving away. When you find something that’s free, that you think could have some value, just do some really quick research.
For example, say you find a person who is giving away tons of free leftover garage sale stuff, there are literally dozens of free shirts and other things. Who knows some of the shirts could be name-brand shirts that could easily sell for $20 to $30 on eBay. Or how say you find free couches, some might look a little rough, but they present an opportunity if you were willing to clean them up a little bit and make them more presentable, there’s no reason that you couldn’t go and sell these for a nice profit.

Perhaps, you want a side hustle that’s a little bit more passive, in that case advertising on your car is a real way to make real money real fast. Carvertise is a popular website that will pay you monthly income to advertise on your car and the process of getting started is very simple.
Go to their website carvertise.com, and click on become a driver. They’ll ask you a few basic questions about your driving habits, and the car that you own. And once the campaign is over, they’ll safely remove the car decal and you’ll be good to go.

Websites like Taskrabbit and Handy allow you to make money on the side doing various tasks such as assembling Ikea furniture, moving boxes, mounting TVs, moving furniture, fixing running toilets, planting flowers, and hundreds of other different jobs.
Many of these jobs will only take an hour or two to complete, but can still earn you well over $100 per job.
Additionally, most of these jobs don’t require you to have any particular set of skills, as long as you have a little muscle, know how to use a screwdriver, and don’t mind being a little sociable, then you can easily make a few hundred dollars for doing just a few hours of work every day.
Honestly, all jokes aside, even if you didn’t have any muscle, have never used a single screwdriver in your entire life, and you were very introverted, there are still plenty of jobs that you’d be able to do on this website.
6. Phone Flipping
Each year, nearly 152 million phones are thrown away. Many of these phones have just minor problems such as a bad battery, or broken screen. Outside of that, they are fully functional phones. Companies like gazelle saw this as a huge opportunity to capitalize on. However this side hustle has nothing to do with gazelle, instead, it’s about you taking a piece of that lucrative pie that gazelle is capitalizing on, and doing it for yourself.
Flipping electronics is a real side hustle that can earn you a lot of money, and it’s not that difficult to get started. The first thing you’ll need is a phone repair kit, these can easily be purchased at Amazon, eBay, Target, Walmart, or your local hardware store. And you shouldn’t have to pay any more than $30 to buy one, once you have this kit you basically have everything you need to get started. It’s got all the various screwdrivers and all the necessary components to take apart a phone safely.
Once you purchase your kit, the only thing left to do is begin searching. You’re going to be searching on sites like eBay, Facebook marketplace, Craigslist. You’re basically just searching for iPhone and Android devices being sold “AS IS”.
The Goal
The goal at least at the beginning until you can get more comfortable is to look for phones that have cosmetic damage such as a broken screen or a broken back. You could also look for phones that have bad batteries because these are pretty easy to replace.
For example, say you find a broken iPhone XR, and it is being sold for $90 on eBay. The phone still powers on, it works but it just has a cracked front screen, and the back is cracked as well. Let’s just say for example, that you bought a phone for $90, you then buy a replacement screen for $69, and a replacement back cover for $42. If you add up the phone with the replacement parts, then you’re all in at about $200. You then flip the phone, and you sell it for $230 making a $29 profit.
Now I know what you’re thinking, “$29 Prince, that’s it?” Well, once you get good at this and you’re able to repair a phone within 10 to 15 minutes, then you can start doing multiple phones per hour. What’s to stop you from earning upwards of $100 per hour if you can repair three to four phones in an hour.
Not to mention, I’ve only talked about broken phones on eBay. People on Facebook marketplace and Craigslist will likely be more willing to sell their broken phones for less, compared to people on eBay.
Honestly, this side hustle is completely scalable because once you get comfortable fixing phones, you could move to fix larger items such as apple computers which will be a little bit more difficult depending on what has to be replaced. But the profit margins will be much larger.
5. Print-On-Demand
Maybe you aren’t as technologically inclined and would prefer to capitalize on your creative side. In that case, print-on-demand can be a very profitable, and even passive side hustle that can easily be turned into a full-scale business.
Print on demand is when you sell your own custom designs on different types of products including t-shirts, books, coffee mugs, pillows, stationery, and hundreds of other things. Websites like Society6 and redbubble have entire thriving marketplaces and get millions of shoppers onto their websites willing to spend money on custom water bottles, shower curtains, and even yoga mats.
Plus, these websites will literally handle everything for you from printing, shipping, marketing, customer service, and even fulfillment. The only thing you have to do is provide the artwork, and honestly, there’s really no limit to how much money you can make with this side hustle. Anywhere from a couple of hundred dollars per month, to as much as six figures per year depending on your dedication to coming up with new artwork on a consistent basis.
4. Build Websites
I had built websites before in the past and am still building more on websites like Wix and Square Space. I knew that if I took the time, I would be able to build websites on a more versatile platform like WordPress and so that’s exactly what I did. I spent a couple of weeks watching videos on YouTube, trying things, learning the basics of installing WordPress themes, and plugins, and building basic pages.
Fast forward a year later, and I’m making money building websites as a side hustle. I’ve told my story in the past and a few of you have asked me what my process is for how I build websites, and what I use. And so, here it is in a nutshell, I build my websites using WordPress and this is not wordpress.com but instead, wordpress.org which is an actual content management system.
The easiest way to install a WordPress website is by using a word press hosting platform such as Bluehost. Once you log into your Bluehost account, there’s going to be an option to install word press with one click. Once word press is installed on your Bluehost server, you can log into the website, go to appearance, and themes, and then choose from thousands of different themes.

If you’re just getting started, you can also use websites like ThemeForest to find great themes that also come with pre-built demos that you can install on a client website. A lot of my first websites that I built for clients were actually just pre-built demos, and the only thing you have to do is just replace the client’s content with the demo content. Outside of that, the general look and feel of the website are already there and the entire website is essentially built for you just by installing a demo.

Another great way to build websites with WordPress is by using a page builder plugin such as Elementor. Elementor lets you drag and drop elements onto a page to build out that page. It does have a slight learning curve, but there are a ton of tutorials on YouTube that can walk you through how to build websites with Elementor on WordPress.
In terms of how to actually find clients and jobs to start making money with the side hustle, simply sign up to free websites like Upwork or Fiverr. I personally got my start building websites using Upwork, and in terms of what to actually put in your proposals when you’re applying for jobs, just keep it as simple as possible.
Instead of blogging the client down with a five-paragraph autobiography about your experience, just simply write one or two short sentences about how you understood the job description, and how you will be able to deliver. If necessary, include samples of your work, if you don’t have any samples of work because you’ve never done it before that’s fine, just do what I did. Build a couple of fake websites, and use those as your sample pieces of work. As the ancient proverb goes, “you gotta fake it till you make it”.
3. Dog Walking
Another great side hustle that requires zero brain work is dog walking. Yes, there are in fact people who will pay hundreds of dollars per week to have their dogs walk. For example, both Rover and Wag offer various dog walking services and other services such as drop-ins, dog-sitting, boarding, and other things.
On average you can expect to earn as much as $20 per 20 minutes per dog that you walk, up to $27 for a 30-minute walk, and as much as $37 for a 60-minute walk. And again, these prices are per dog, and so if you have an owner who wants you to walk say three dogs at once, then you can multiply these numbers by three.
2. Pressure Washing
Making money on the side pressure washing homes and businesses can be a very easy way to make good money. Thanks to the low startup costs, the low overhead to maintain the business, and the high-profit margins. There is no reason why you can’t easily earn between $500 and $1,000 per day pressure washing. But to get started, you will need a few things, the obvious thing being a pressure washer.
Now, a lot of different blogs and articles online that talk about starting a pressure washing side hustle, always mention that while it’s definitely okay to use a cheaper pressure washer when you’re first getting started. If you want customers to start taking you more seriously, and you want to start getting bigger jobs with bigger businesses, then you’re going to want to invest in a commercial pressure washer. To be completely honest with you, even these pressure washers are not insanely expensive.
However, pressure washer aside, if you wanted to take this seriously, and do it as a side hustle or even potentially turn it into a full-time business, then the first thing that you’ll want to do is educate yourself. Also in terms of finding actual customers, this actually shouldn’t be too hard, you can utilize websites like Handy, Facebook marketplace, and even Next Door to promote yourself and find work. From there, if you do good work, and people like you, then they’ll start referring you to other people. Before you know it, your pressure washing side hustle is bringing you in more money than your day job.

Last but not least, we saved the best for last which is retail arbitrage. Retail arbitrage is when you buy an item below market value, and sell it for a higher price profiting from the difference. There are people literally making millions of dollars per year doing this, and what’s even better is that because the side hustle has such a low barrier of entry, quite literally anybody can do it and start making money immediately.
Here’s an example of how it works, you go into your local supermarket be it Target, or Walmart, or perhaps you have something like Ross or TJ Max nearby. And you’re basically just searching for items that are clearance or marked down. Most of these stores will have a dedicated clearance section for clearance items, once you find items that are clearance and markdown that you believe could sell for more online, you quickly pull up Amazon or eBay on your phone and search those items to see what they’re selling for online to be sure you can actually make a profit if you buy them.
Then the next part of the process starts, which is actually listing the products online. Now the two best places to sell your items are eBay and Amazon, however, to start selling on Amazon, you will need some knowledge of Amazon FBA. I know it looks like a lot, but I promise you once you get started and you can understand the basics of how to do this, there is absolutely no reason why you can’t make several hundred dollars per week doing this or even millions of dollars per year if you’re doing it full time.
